Southern Italy golf tour: Amalfi Coast, Capri, Matera, and Puglia with green fees at San Domenico Golf

A grand journey through Southern Italy, where golf meets some of the Mediterranean's most beloved landscapes. This tailor-made itinerary 9 nights / 10 days crosses three different and complementary souls: the Amalfi Coast with Sorrento and Capri, the Sassi of Matera carved in the rock and the Puglia of the trulli, the centuries-old olive trees and the Adriatic Sea.

⛳ San Domenico Golf

The golfing heart of the experience is San Domenico Golf In Savelletri di Fasano, one of the most spectacular links courses in the Mediterranean: 18 holes, par 72, designed among centuries-old olive trees and archaeological excavations just steps from the sea. A day's play with green fee, buggy, and bag included.

While the golfer is on the course, the non-golfer companion isn't left out: their package includes a day of pure relaxation at the SPA, to experience the trip at the same pace and with the same intensity.

Off the field

From one stop to the next, the journey is filled with authentic experiences: a private tour of the Amalfi Coast, a discovery of Capri by boat and panoramic views, a guided tour of the Sassi of Matera and the Murgia Park, a stroll among the trulli of Alberobello, and extra virgin olive oil and wine tastings in Puglia's masserie. Accommodations are selected 4-5 star hotels and resorts, always in exceptional locations: Sorrento on the gulf, Matera in the Sassi, and a masseria in the Itria Valley.

Tailor your stay. As with every Golf Tour Experience trip, this one is also fully tailored: duration, accommodation, golf courses, experiences, and transfers can be adapted to your preferences. Upon request, we can add extra golf days on other courses, room upgrades, additional gourmet food and wine experiences, dedicated private transfers, and international flights. Meals that are not included are at your discretion: our local team will provide you with a selection of recommended restaurants, from seaside fish bistros to Michelin-starred establishments, so you can choose where to dine independently.

Day 01 :

Arrival in Italy and the Sorrentine Peninsula

Arrival at the airport of Naples Capodichino and pick up the rental car included in the package. Transfer to Sorrento (approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes) and check into a hotel overlooking the gulf. Free time for an initial stroll through the narrow streets of the center. In the evening, you can enjoy dinner at one of the restaurants recommended by our local team.

Day 02:

Private tour of the Amalfi Coast

Breakfast at the hotel. Full day private tour along the Amalfi Coast with a driver at your disposal: the villages of Positano, Amalfi and Ravello, amidst breathtaking sea views, gardens and unforgettable vistas. Return to Sorrento and evening at leisure, with our dinner recommendations.

Day 03:

Capri: Between boat and views

Breakfast at the hotel. Day dedicated to the island of Capri: short hydrofoil crossing, boat tour of the island to discover grottos and Faraglioni rocks, and time to explore Capri and Anacapri. Return to the Coast in the afternoon. Dinner at your leisure with a selection of recommended restaurants.

Day 04:

To Matera, the city of stone

Breakfast at the hotel. Check out and transfer to Matera (approximately 3.5 hours). Check into your hotel in the heart of the Sassi, amidst rock-cut architecture and a timeless atmosphere. The rest of the day is free for a first taste of the city. In the evening, we'll visit recommended restaurants to discover Lucanian cuisine.

Day 05:

Matera, UNESCO World Heritage Site

Breakfast at the hotel. Private guided tour of Matera: the Sasso Barisano and Sasso Caveoso districts, cave dwellings, rock churches, and viewpoints over the city. The experience continues in the Murgia Materana Park, among prehistoric caves and spectacular views of the Sassi. Free afternoon and dinner chosen from our suggestions.

Day 06:

Arrival in Puglia

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Puglia (about 1.5 hours) and check-in at a selected farmhouse or resort in the Itria Valley, surrounded by centuries-old olive trees and countryside. The afternoon is dedicated to relaxation, by the pool, or for a stroll in the surrounding area. The evening is free to explore restaurants recommended by the local team.

Day 07:

Golf at San Domenico Golf – Spa Day for the accompanying person

Breakfast at the hotel. Day of golf at San Domenico Golf, a links course set amongst olive trees and the Adriatic Sea: green fee, buggy, and bag hire included. While the golfer is on the course, their non-golfing companion enjoys a day of relaxation and well-being at the SPA. In the late afternoon, meet up to share the day's experiences. Dinner is at your leisure from our suggestions.

Day 08:

Alberobello and the trulli

Breakfast at the hotel. Guided tour of Alberobello, with its UNESCO World Heritage trulli and historic districts. In the afternoon, a food and wine experience at a local farm or winery: tasting of extra virgin olive oil and local wines paired with regional specialities. Return and free evening.

Day 09:

White villages and flavours of Puglia

Breakfast at the hotel. A day spent exploring Puglia's white villages—Ostuni, Cisternino, and Locorotondo—and experiencing the local area: a visit to an olive oil mill or a farm with tastings, time to relax by the sea or explore the white villages. The final evening of the trip includes recommended restaurants for a farewell to Southern Italy.

Day 10:

Check-out and departure

Breakfast at the hotel. Check-out and transfer to the airport. Bari o Brindisi For the return flight, return the rental car. End of the Golf Tour Experience services.

Is the price per person or per couple?

The price shown is “from” and is per person in a double room. The price for a non-golfing companion is the same as for a golfer: while the golfer is on the course, the companion can enjoy a relaxing day at the SPA. Supplements for single rooms, upgrades, and customisations are available on request.

When is the best time for this trip?

Spring (April-June) and autumn (September-October) are the ideal times to combine golf, the sea, and cultural visits in Southern Italy, with pleasant temperatures and bright days. Summer offers longer days and warm weather, perfect for beach lovers, but the Amalfi Coast is very crowded.

Can I customise the trip?

Absolutely yes. It is a tailor-made trip: we can modify the duration, accommodation, golf courses, experiences, and transfers. Is it necessary to have a disability to play golf?

San Domenico Golf welcomes golfers of all levels; any handicap requirements will be communicated at the time of confirmation. For non-golfers, the trip still includes a full programme of experiences and a spa day.

Are meals included?

The trip includes daily breakfast. Lunches and dinners are at your own expense: the restaurants mentioned in the itinerary are merely suggestions from our local team, allowing you to choose where and what to eat independently. The included oil and wine tastings, however, are part of the trip's experiences.

Are transfers and car hire included?

Yes: the package includes the hire car for the entire duration of the trip, and transfers and journeys as scheduled. We can also arrange dedicated private transfers on request.

How do booking and payment work?

After your contact we send you a personalized quote with specific dates. The reservation is confirmed with a 30% deposit, the balance is due 45 days before departure (60 in high season). We accept bank transfer and credit card. All services are covered by our 24/7 assistance.
